DesignLink – A team of regional designers collaborating with city agencies, non-profits and private companies in the Triad to solve problems that are design-based or those related to a specific plan or process in need of innovation. These projects will influence how the public experiences architecture and design. www.designlinknc.com
Design Link is currently facilitating workshops in towns and cities around the Piedmont Triad. As part as the "Piedmont Together" sustainability project, our team works with local communities for adaptive reuse of buildings and sites in need of vision and repurposing. In December, 2012, we worked with the Town of Elkin on an abandoned site. In February, the team headed to Mayodan, NC to work with the community on their downtwon and riverfront access. In High Point March 19-20, we focused on a specific site in the SoSi-Southside district opposite the GTCC-High Point campus. In May, we head to Biscoe, and Yanceyville.
