CCE's Design Link team heads to the Town of Biscoe in Montgomery Co. on May 2-3 to conduct a community design workshop to help invigorate town planning, adaptive reuse and sustainable design in this iconic small town in the Piedmont Triad.  After successful workshops in High Point, Elkin and Mayodan since December 2012,  anticipation is high for the innovative work the team brings to the community.

Imagination Design Marathon June 2

Imagination Design Marathon Saturday, June 2, 10 am – 3 pm

Artists, architects, graphic designers, planners, industrial designers and other creatives are invited to participate in an Imagination Design Marathon: a day of hands-on design to imagine a public art installation that will capture and share our community's collective dreams. The event will take place on Saturday, June 2, from 10 am – to 3 pm at SECCA (Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art), 750 Marguerite Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The Design Marathon is a collaboration between two emerging grassroots organizations: the Imagination Installation Project and the Community Design Studio. The charette* event will be an opportunity for designers, artists and other creative folks to work together on a community- building design challenge. The goal is to promote artistic collaboration and community design, while fostering new connections among members of Winston-Salem's Creative Class.
